With limited options for a night out in Peterborough, this is definitely a welcomed addition to the city that we all needed. People were enjoying drinks with friends and chatting about their weeks with drinks flowing throughout. Music was playing in the main seating area offering some tunes to bop your head along to as you sip your cocktail and attempt to stop yourself from getting brain freeze. This wasn't the only one available you could also buy rum, whisky, vodka, brandy and liqueurs by the bottle, dangerous for partygoers I know. I was fearful over the cost of two cocktails so there was no chance I was 'treating' myself to this when I know I can get it at my local supermarket for half the price. Although my friend and I were surprised to see that you could purchase a bottle of the gin there and then for £70 - yes £70! ![]() Not wanting to make this mistake again next I chose an Edinburgh Gin Raspberry and tonic which tickled my taste buds more so than the cocktails. ![]() The other reason was due to the fact that I forgot how pricey cocktails can be, starting from £8.50 to £9.50 for the premium cocktails it was a price I didn't want to fork out for in this current climate. However, I later regretted my decision due to the fact I kept getting brain freeze every time I took a sip, yes, it was my own fault and I definitely should have ordered my favourite instead. The cocktails tasted good, not out of this world but what you would expect. My friend went for a personal favourite of mine - a pornstar martini and I, a pineapple Daiquiri. With no seats available when we first arrived we decided to order at the bar but had to wait for around 30 minutes to be served. This is great in itself to have both options available but during peak times such as a Friday or Saturday night, it can easily become slightly chaotic in terms of ordering and the continuous staff floating about both serving and waiting at the bar to take drinks to customers. Inside was a similar atmosphere people filled the seating area as staff dashed around serving drinks here, there and everywhere. The outside seating area was packed with groups, couples and friends at the front, complete with umbrellas in case the heavens decided to open. But what was I expecting, it was a Friday night in Peterborough after all.
